The Process

Making each of our boards is a labor of love—it takes time, skill, and attention to detail. But we’ve carefully streamlined the process, so you get the highest quality, without the hassle

Wood Cutting and Shaping

Cut the Wood: Use a saw to cut the wood into the desired shapes for crosses or wine boards.
Sanding: Smooth the edges and surfaces with sandpaper or a power sander to prepare for engraving and epoxy.

Engraving

Prepare for Engraving: Using a CNC router, laser engraver, or hand tools, we set up your design to be engraved into the wood.
Engraving Process: Carefully engrave text, logos, or patterns onto the wood. Ensure precision to avoid errors.

Design and Planning

Select Wood Type: Choose a suitable hardwood (e.g., oak, maple, walnut) for durability and aesthetic appeal.
Design Creation: Use graphic design software or sketch the design for the cross or wine board, including engraving details.

Epoxy Application

Prepare the Epoxy: Mix the epoxy resin according your choosing of a clear or colored epoxy
Fill In Engravings: Pour the epoxy into the engraved areas on the wood, ensuring even coverage.
Curing: Allow the epoxy to cure for 24 hours in a dust-free environment.

Final Touches

Final Sanding: Once the epoxy has cured, sand the surface to remove any rough edges or excess resin.
Sealing and Finishing: Apply a protective wood finish, like mineral oil, polyurethane, or wax, to enhance the wood’s color and protect it.
